This Is Learning Experience Design

This book argues that you can, through Learning Experience Design (LXD), an approach that asks you to be accountable for the whole learning event: what happens, what each learner actually does, how they feel along the way, and what the outcome means for them.

Niels Floor writes for readers coming from either design or learning, and he sets out nine core LXD rules before walking through the iterative process that moves a project from question to research, design, development, testing, and launch. The book then introduces his Learning Experience Canvas as a structured way to plan strong experiences, and shows how Personas, Empathy Maps, and Experience Mapping can be combined with it.

Throughout, the author uses concrete examples and hands-on exercises, so practitioners can apply the method to their own work and build the confidence to do so.
