THUD! THUD!

Picture a hulking forest creature with large feet, a shaggy head and a pair of sharp horns. His looks alone send the other animals scattering, and his loud, frightening noises make them keep their distance. Yet beneath the gruff exterior hides a nervous soul who startles at every rustle and shadow and lives in a state of constant worry.

The book is about how a first impression can mislead, and how a second look can change everything. When one small creature sees beyond the monster's rough appearance and reaches out with a kind gesture, the forest begins to feel safe again.

The story encourages young readers not to judge others by how they look and invites them to try new experiences and make new friends.
