Toucans

Toucans are loud, colorful birds of the tropical rainforest, recognized by their dark feathers and brightly colored bills. This low-level beginning reader introduces them to developing readers, explaining that toucans eat fruit and that, despite being birds, they are not strong fliers.

The book includes a search-and-find feature that reinforces new vocabulary such as roosting tree and nest. Close-up photographs show toucans in their natural rainforest habitat. It works as an early STEM and life science title for kindergartners and first graders.
