Touching Lives

Touching Lives is a travelogue about people in some of India's most remote corners whose circumstances have changed because of technology. S K Das went to meet them, and the book gathers what they told him about escaping poverty and helplessness and building a different future, with some help from ISRO.

The journeys range widely, from Jhabua to interior Karnataka, from the Sundarbans to Chamoli in Garhwal. Along the way the book looks at what it calls the million tiny revolutions quietly changing the country, and at the ordinary people who are carrying them out.
