Treacle Town

Con O'Neill and his gang are caught up in brutal street violence, sectarian feuds and private heartbreak. For Con and the others in his crew, the future offers almost nothing: no cash, few real chances, and a system that keeps people stuck in the Treacle Towns found across the country. Con wants out. He longs for a different life, one that holds happiness and a sense of fulfilment.

Then Con stumbles into slam poetry, a world he had not known existed, and it offers a flicker of hope that it could be his way out of Treacle Town. Getting there, though, will not be simple.
