Trese

A corpse tangled in the overgrowth of a forgotten corner of Luneta Park opens this Manila-set graphic novel. Elsewhere in the city, the killing of a manananggal threatens to ignite open hostilities between rival supernatural factions. At a university, an unexplained sickness pushes students toward despair and madness, while at the docks demons gather to watch a famous boxer's contest for his soul.

The stories mix criminal investigation with sorcery, folklore and occult crime. When a case becomes too strange for ordinary detectives, the authorities turn to Alexandra Trese, the investigator who handles these matters.

The comics are written by Budjette Tan and illustrated by Kajo Baldisimo.
