Trve Cvlt

Trve Cvlt is a gamebook, a story in which the reader makes the choices that decide how things end, and it is Tenebrous Press's first book of this kind. It is also a work of New Weird Horror that explores religious trauma, arrested adolescence and anxiety, all steeped in heavy metal culture.

You wake up with a brutal hangover, but there is good news: you have been invited to take back the drum throne in Abyss, the cult band you co-founded. Returning means patching up a turbulent history with the band's vocalist, Austin. You cannot tell whether he wants to make peace or is simply desperate, since the infamous black metal legends Waste Doctrine are coming through town. They have offered Abyss a chance to open for them, and it could be your way out of a town going nowhere.

The gig comes with complications. Austin is determined to turn the performance into a ritual, transforming the abandoned roadhouse he has picked as the venue into a bloody, occult nightmare. It is black metal, after all, but he may be taking it too far.

What happens next is up to you. You can play the gig, leave town behind, or burn everything down.
