Tug the Turtle

Tug is a little turtle whose life starts in a cramped, shadowy spot where he has been cozy and secure. Eventually he has to work his way out of that enclosed space, and the day that follows throws him into one threat after another as he tries to find a secure place of his own once more.

Along the way, Tug meets a range of hungry adversaries, and each one is a test he has to get past. He relies on a mix of good fortune, quick thinking, and plenty of determination to outwit them. Because he must stay alert and bounce back from setbacks, every encounter teaches him something new. Throughout the day he grows stronger and learns to spot predators early and keep out of their reach.

Readers follow Tug through a series of tricky situations and memorable characters as he searches for a safe place to settle and call home.
