Twisted Games

Rhys Larsen is a top-tier bodyguard who lives by two rules: keep his clients safe at any cost, and never let emotions get involved. He is a reserved, self-assured man who has never been tempted to bend either rule, until he meets Bridget von Ascheberg, a princess whose determination matches his own and whose hidden intensity catches him off guard. She is nothing like what he expected. Slowly she chips away at his defenses until he has to admit that the oath he swore to protect her has been overtaken by a far more dangerous urge: he wants to claim her for himself, and in his mind she already belongs to him.

Bridget is regal and strong-willed, and she has spent her life bound by obligation, longing for the freedom to choose how she lives and whom she loves. When her brother steps down, she finds herself heir to a crown she never sought and facing a cold, practical marriage arranged for political reasons. As she learns the demands and dangers of ruling, she must also conceal her attraction to the bodyguard assigned to her, the one man she cannot have, who is both her protector and the person most able to undo her.

This is a contemporary royal bodyguard romance in which the love is unexpected and forbidden from the start, with consequences that could shake an entire kingdom and cost them both dearly.

Twisted Games is the second book in the Twisted series but can be read on its own. Readers should be aware that it features a possessive hero, explicit content, and strong profanity.
