About this book
In the 1940s, Isabel Briggs Myers and Katherine Briggs built the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator to make Carl Jung's psychological theory usable by everyday people. This book takes that personality framework and applies it to serial killers, examining whether it can support criminal profiling. Twenty offenders were analyzed to determine how each made decisions and how each tended to engage with the external world.
Criminal profiling has developed steadily over the past century. The author contends that adding MBTI typing can deepen an understanding of offenders, help investigators identify suspects, and guide the choice of interrogation approach suited to a particular individual.
