Jack Sawyer turns up at a Texas ranch owned by Anna Corbett and asks for a job, but he has not come simply to work. Beneath his easygoing manner is a man carrying a past he would rather keep buried, and his real purpose is to shield Anna and her young son from a dangerous enemy. That enemy is Carl Herbold, a ruthless man set on taking vengeance against Anna. The question is whether Sawyer can keep the family safe from a foe who will not stop.
