Unspeakable Things

Cassie McDowell's life in 1980s Minnesota looks wholesome enough. She lives on a farm, loves school, and has a crush on the nicest boy in her class. Her parents throw strange parties for a parade of deviant guests, but she has long since grown used to them.

Then someone starts hunting in the town of Lilydale. Local boys go missing one at a time, and one at a time they come back changed: violent, moody, and withdrawn. What happened to them becomes the subject of shocking rumors, and the accusations about who is responsible grow just as wild. Dangerous town secrets begin to surface.

When Cassie's own sister undergoes the same dark change, Cassie must find her way through an adult world where every sin can be justified and only the truth is unforgivable, if she is to survive.
