Until the End

This final installment closes out the second run of Derek Landy's Skulduggery Pleasant books, a series that has sold widely around the world. The Faceless Ones have slipped back into our reality, and the villains now hold the upper hand.

With the end of everything only days away, Skulduggery can no longer count on Valkyrie Cain to help him. To have any chance of saving what remains of the world, he must form uneasy partnerships with people he once considered enemies. Matters take a further turn for the worse when the Chosen One falls, forcing Omen Darkly to step up in his brother's place.

The story is crowded with danger and most of it is grim, though the tone stays playful even as the stakes climb. The book is aimed at readers who have followed the series from the start.
