Sister Souljah's follow-up to The Coldest Winter Ever, the novel that sold a million copies, finds Winter Santiaga stepping back into the world after her time behind bars. She is as striking, daring and style-conscious as ever, and her devotion to her father has not faded. Her plan is to settle every score, rebuild the empire he left behind, restore his standing, and win back Midnight, no matter which woman has been with him during her absence.

Winter is not the only one nursing a grudge. Simone, a young woman who has been Winter's business partner and close friend, has plans of her own, and Winter is the one in her sights. Will Simone follow through? Can Winter stay out of harm's way, or will a stray shot send her somewhere she never expected? Winter remains unshaken either way, convinced that hell looks much like any street, and especially the Brooklyn neighborhood where she grew up.

Expect a heartfelt, sensual and funny journey that unfolds in real time, told with unfiltered honesty and emotion. Readers who have followed Winter this far will want to see it through with her.
