Vampire Academy

Lissa Dragomir is a Moroi princess, a mortal vampire born into a line that can wield the magic of the earth. Her best friend, Rose Hathaway, is a Dhampir, half vampire and half human, trained from childhood to be a guardian. Rose has staked her whole life on keeping Lissa safe from the Strigoi, the most savage vampires, who want to turn Lissa into one of their own.

For two years the pair managed to stay hidden. Then they are caught and taken back to St. Vladimir's Academy, a boarding school where vampire nobility study alongside the guardians-in-training who will one day protect them. Behind its iron gates the girls find that the school is no refuge. Rivalries, secrets and social minefields wait in every corridor, and the Strigoi are never far away.

This is the graphic novel adaptation of the first book in Richelle Mead's Vampire Academy series. It tells the story of a friendship tested by danger, and of a bond where loyalty counts for more than blood.
