Vanished Roads

Vanished Roads is a collection of 104 contemporary haiku by Thomas L. Vaultonburg, illustrated by Tré and published by Wolf Twin Books in 2026. The poems draw on small observations from everyday life.

Grief, memory, impermanence, nature, and renewal run through the book. The sequence moves gradually from loss toward acceptance, giving weight to close attention, mindfulness, and the slow changes of the natural world.

The collection has no continuous narrative. Each poem is a separate moment of reflection, and readers are left to find the connections between them.
