Vixens

Vixens is the sixth book in Bertrice Small's Skye's Legacy saga, which follows the O'Malley family. Its three storylines are set in the court of Charles II, in a Restoration England full of intrigue.

Fancy Devers, a widow and the last of Fortune and Kieran's children, reaches England under a cloud of rumor. Her striking looks, dark hair and turquoise eyes draw the attention of the king, who makes her one of his many mistresses. Their passionate affair soon cools into an easy friendship, but the king is set on finding her a husband, and Fancy wants no part of it.

Lady Diana Leslie, the daughter of Patrick and Flanna, has earned the nickname "Siren" from the gentlemen at court. Her affections are caught by a pair of identical twin brothers, and she is pulled in two directions. She cannot avoid choosing, and she must.

Lady Cynara Stuart is the youngest daughter of a Stuart family with only a distant claim to royalty. Her relatives keep pressing her to marry, yet she has no interest in any man. She then meets the Earl of Summersfield, a dangerous rogue as skilled at seduction as she is. Only one of them can win their contest, and neither is willing to lose.
