Web Warriors

Set in New York City in a near future that feels just around the corner, this story follows Tech and Marz, two orphaned brothers who never quite fit in anywhere but the online world. In cyberspace they are formidable gamers, and their hacking skills make them sought-after freelance investigators who track down lost data and missing people across the Web. The riskier the online competition and the harder the security, the more they enjoy it, and a brutal game called Death Run holds no fear for them.

Their confidence is shaken during an ordinary virtual job. While Tech unintentionally releases a mysterious captive from a secure government database, a formless, demonic digital creature turns on them and nearly kills them in earnest. The brothers escape with badly damaged equipment and a pile of unresolved questions.

Refusing to walk away, they plunge into the lawless, dangerous depths of the virtual world to investigate what they have uncovered. What began as a game now demands real detective work, and the stakes have become painfully real.
