Wee Gillis

Young Gillis, a boy from Scotland, faces a big question: should he spend the rest of his life in the Highlands or in the Lowlands? To help him choose, he tries living in both regions, and each one shows him a different way of life.

The book is a picture book for young children, with illustrations by Robert Lawson that carry much of the story. Its author, Munro Leaf, is also known for The Story of Ferdinand.
