When Day Breaks

Kelly Group International is a private, family-run operation that works in secret. Its operatives are sharp, physically formidable and trained in the military, and they take on the kind of work Washington can't officially touch: rescuing hostages and kidnapping victims, gathering intelligence, and handling the dangerous jobs no one else will. When Day Breaks is a KGI novel by Maya Banks.

Eden is a model so celebrated that her face has appeared on countless magazine covers and her image has moved millions of dollars in clothing. Fame has cost her more than she expected. Someone is watching her, and this person wants to destroy the beauty the world admires.

Swanson, known to his teammates as Swanny, is always ready for the next assignment. He came home from Afghanistan wounded and scarred, and he cannot imagine he belongs anywhere near a woman like Eden. Still, something about her quiet nature unsettles him and gives him hopes he has no business holding.

He knows the old story of the beauty and the beast is the stuff of fairy tales, and KGI has never dealt in those. As the danger around Eden closes in, he has to decide whether to guard his heart or take a chance on the impossible.
