When Evil Wakes

Holly Wakefield was nine years old when a notorious serial killer known as The Animal murdered her parents. That loss shaped her path into criminal psychology, and she now works with the Metropolitan Police to catch the most dangerous psychopaths.

When Holly begins finding messages at brutal crime scenes, she realises they come from the one person she fears most. Officially, The Animal is dead. Holly is convinced he is alive, killing again, and deliberately letting her know.

DI Bishop is the only officer willing to weigh Holly's instincts as seriously as the evidence. The two quietly begin their own inquiry as more murders surface across the country. The Animal, however, has a far more twisted game planned for Holly than either of them imagined, and this time he intends to finish the job properly. This is part of the Holly Wakefield series.
