When It's Real

Oakley Ford and Vaughn Bennett live such different lives that they would almost never meet. Oakley is a pop star with Grammy wins, a large crowd of devoted fans, and a reputation as a restless, charming troublemaker. Lately his home life is falling apart, his songwriting has stalled, and the gossip press keeps chronicling his wild behavior. He needs to prove he is ready to settle down, and Vaughn, a part-time waitress working to support her family, is an unlikely choice to help him do it.

Vaughn agrees to pose as his girlfriend and reshape his public image from unruly celebrity to serious artist. In exchange, she will earn enough money to pay for her brothers' college tuition. That means putting up with extravagant Hollywood parties and scripted social media exchanges, and convincing photographers and fans. Keeping up the act may affect her own feelings more than she expected.

When the usual rules of everyday life stop applying, the heart can do surprising things.
