Window on humanity

Conrad Phillip Kottak, a leading figure in anthropology, wrote this brief and current survey of the discipline as a whole. It covers the central subjects of the field while also addressing how anthropology is changing today.

The book does not commit to one theoretical school, so teachers who hold different views of the discipline can adopt it without having to set aside their own approach. Its short length and clear writing suit a general anthropology course that also assigns readings or ethnographies alongside the main text.
