Winner Cake All

Dani Sloan runs a small catering business in Normalton, Illinois, a town with few chances to handle large events. That changes when Yvette Joubert, a client, hires her to cater an engagement party for Yvette and Franklin Whittaker, one of the wealthiest men in the area.

The party could introduce Dani to affluent clients who would bring her work for years. Once the guests arrive, though, a storm ruins the dinner, and Yvette is discovered dead beneath the marquee. Investigators must decide whether her death was a horrible accident or a deliberate killing.

The case becomes personal when Yvette's former husband turns out to be Spencer Drake, the man Dani has been seeing but has not committed to, and the police begin focusing on those close to the couple. Dani must work through a maze of clues to keep her business running, hold on to her romance, and identify the killer.
