Wisali

STARSEC is a setting of countless star systems, with hundreds of worlds and thousands of cultures, where peril and delight sit side by side. Stories can lean toward the grim and dramatic or toward the uncommon and marvelous. Characters move through triumphs and disasters on places from the far edges of imagination, whether the action takes place aboard a spacecraft or on solid ground. Every person in this universe has a personal tale worth telling.

Wisali follows Mishah and Mikaiya, twin sisters who are devoted to each other. Together they guard the ship they call home and look for ways to bring in money. Years earlier, a terror attack took their family, and the sisters learned young that the cosmos would not look after them. Their father's starship, Rockfish, was all that remained. Now they make a living on mercenary contracts, taking one job after another to pay their way and keep Rockfish running.

Their life is risky and unconventional. They face the dangers of the galaxy head-on, setting their own terms and relying on no one but each other.
