Witch Hunt

Witch Hunt is Gregg Jarrett's account of the Russia investigation that followed the 2016 US presidential election. Jarrett is a lawyer and Fox News legal analyst. He argues that the claim of collusion between Donald Trump's campaign and Russia never rested on solid evidence, and that the long inquiry it set off, including the special counsel probe led by Robert Mueller, was driven by political motives more than by proof of a crime. The book looks at the conduct of officials at the FBI and the Justice Department and at how the story was handled in the media. It applies a legal lens to the decisions made along the way. It is a pointed, openly partisan work, written for readers who want the case against the investigation set out by a critic.
