Wolfboy Is Scared

Wolfboy is certain he is fearless, and this lively picture book sets out to show that a touch of nerves is nothing to be embarrassed about. Readers who enjoyed I'm Not Scared, You're Scared! should find a similar comic spirit here.

Wolfboy has to reach home before the moon sets, and the only route runs straight through the lair of the Grumble Monster. Brave as he claims to be, he suggests the rabbits lead the way so he can keep watch over their backs. Then strange shapes appear: claws, and eyes glinting in the dark. Could Wolfboy actually be scared?

Bold illustrations and bouncy, high-energy text make this a fun choice for reading aloud, and its central message is that feeling afraid is an ordinary experience for everyone.
