Zero at the bone

Surgeon Jack Francisco has seen too much. Having watched a murder carried out by organized crime, he is hidden away under government protection until he can take the stand and testify against the people responsible.

A hired gunman who goes by the single letter D is coerced into killing Jack in exchange for his own safety. When D finds him, however, he cannot bring himself to shoot a man who has done nothing wrong. Instead, the two of them end up fleeing unseen enemies, and as they depend on each other to stay alive, a deep attraction takes hold between them.
