Linear Operators and Matrices

Assembled as a tribute to Peter Lancaster on his seventieth birthday, this collection honours a mathematician widely regarded as a leading authority in operator theory, matrix theory, numerical analysis and their applications. Its contents are new, peer-level research papers spanning linear algebra and analysis, two fields in which Lancaster was especially active.

Alongside the research articles, the volume includes a biographical sketch of Lancaster and a complete list of his publications. It will appeal to a broad audience of mathematicians working in both pure and applied areas.
