Mistletoe Malarkey

Shayla and Seamus have been dating for more than a year and already spend nearly all their time together. This Christmas she is traveling with him to Ireland to meet his family for the first time. Seamus is a park ranger who rents an apartment with three other men and gets around in a battered old pickup, so Shayla had no idea his family was so prominent. The moment they land, a barrage of camera flashes greets them, and her insecurities begin to surface.

The holiday gathering is a dinner meant to help everyone get acquainted, and it brings together an old flame of Seamus's, an uncle who makes Shayla uneasy, and nearly the entire town. The evening goes smoothly until someone is found dead. The Guardaí make clear that Shayla, a police officer from the United States, has no authority in Ireland and should stay out of the investigation. Still, clues seem to turn up wherever she goes.

This is a Christmas mystery set over the holiday season, with a romance at its center.
