Naija

After a troubling incident at school, Naija Holloway's parents send her south to Georgia for the summer. There her Aunt Divine tells her something she never expected: the basimbi, the spirits of Old Meyer Pond, have called Naija to serve them.

Naija sets out on a vision quest through Living Oaks. Meanwhile her brother Eb tries to resist the same pull toward the water. As the spirits refuse to loosen their hold, the line between duty and desire starts to blur. Everyone involved has to face what an ancestral legacy costs, and the next Keeper has already been chosen.

Naija is the second book in the Old Meyer Pond series.
