Orodena

Orodena is a warrior king from the ancient Oyo Empire, long forgotten by the world. His spirit has been brought to Yuchine County to guard the land and its people, and it is enshrined deep in the forest near Old Meyer Pond. His eccentric custodian, Divine, calls on him to father a child who will carry on her legacy.

Orodena possesses Divine's nephew, Travis, and grants the oracle's boon. Then the spirit refuses to leave. Travis begins to change, and his shifting personality pulls him into serious legal trouble.

Meanwhile, Veronica is pregnant. Neither she nor Travis can remember what happened between them. She is shocked to learn that Divine sedated her before the conception. Unsure what lies ahead, Veronica returns to her native St. Croix to reconnect with her estranged family.
